A Golden Celebration

A friend of mine asked me to create family portraits prior to her in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. A great gift idea for the happy couple! Having photographed many weddings, it is wonderful to see a couple together after 50 years, creating two more generations of family in that time.

Here is the sweet duo.

All dressed up for the celebration at the beautiful Shinerock Shore Club in Rye.
She was delighted, as you can see.
And I have to say they were cute.
...and could handle some modern angles.
Now for the family...I love how casual they are with each other sitting on the rocks.
I got them up and moving, too. I bet when they took their wedding portraits, they could never have imagined this shot.
It's fun to zoom in when doing big groups.

Onto the couple's couples...
This duo actually got married at Shinerock twenty years ago this week so it was important to capture some special images for them.
I like the feeling of this image.
 Traditional, relaxed and happy.

Onto my friend's family...also very relaxed poses.
Kristine, this is screaming "holiday card." ;-)

Just had to to father/son...
 ...and mother/daughter.
Last but not least the couple with the youngest children.
I like this traditional shot...
...but I LOVE this one. It really personifies life with two little ones. Crazy and fun.
All of the kiddos.
Let's not forget plenty of grandchildren portraits.

Just love this sweet moment.
She loved the camera!

Reacted just perfectly and naturally.
 Waving on cue.

These two can be in a little girls' dresses catalog.

I wanted to get another shot of the party couple.
And squeeze in one more group photo.
And as they say, it's time to walk into the sunset. Not bad. ;-)
Happy 50th and thank you to the family for inviting me to document all of you!
