Baby Giuliana

Another sweet babe in the grass and this time Baby Giuliana brings a flare for fashion. I love this age where they are sitting up but clearly just "plopped." She seems very content and happy about it!

If you could draw a perfect baby girl, this is what she'd look like. Shooting at her eye level makes a nice connection with the camera. I always ask Mom to hover over my lens to ensure eyes are locked.
Babies can literally change their facial expression about 100 times per minute. And it's all adorable.
Close-up and shooting slightly from below to capture the details in her eyes.
So much I love about this shot. Just the feet would be cute, but add the rings, mom's hands and baby's face in the background, it is just so special. I would put a 5x7 of this shot somewhere in a hallway. This way you pass it often as she grows up and can remember how little she was once.
My favorite shots are always the interaction shots. I love the joy here.
Interaction + closeup is even better. My favorite shot of the day.
Thank you, Yanil, for inviting me into your world on a lovely spring morning. I hope you cherish these images always!

Baby Santiago

This little man looked so handsome for his photo session - and with this cute face, he is sure to impress anyone who looks his way. This is one of those blog posts where I have to restrain myself from just gushing about the cuteness factor and try to keep it professional with comments about composition, etc. Let's see if I can do it.

A traditional shot in the grass. The angle at which I position myself is key when it comes to young children. I am almost at eye level, therefore capturing the grass at an angle so that you feel like you're right there in the grass with him.

Just slightly higher angle here and it becomes more traditional.
Face to face to lock in with those yummy eyes. (Oops.)
Nice illumination on this photo and shooting from below to make sure I get those two little teeth.
I can't. I just can't not say how adorable he is.
Slightly off center to *almost* simulate him moving in from the right of the image. His eyes looking slightly away from camera makes you wonder, "What his bringing him so much joy?" Well, I can tell you it was his mom, Karina. ;-)
So glad that I can provide a small sample of my work to you! Enjoy this very precious time.

Baby Emma

Major cuteness alert on this post! I honestly couldn't take a bad photo of sweet Emma. Her face just LIT UP as soon as she saw mommy, Erica. I hope this imagery evokes fond memories of these very sweet initial days.
I like the soft green background. The natural setting compliments the very natural beauty of a sweet babe.
 Pure joy.
Mommy was being silly and eyes were locked.
She has so many different kinds of smiles, I can only show them all.
A slightly different pose. The background and filtered sunlight provides the perfect "studio."
I like the soft look of this photo.
I always come in close with little ones. We are awestruck at all of their little parts, so let's get a nice look at them. Eyes full of wonder. Just amazing.
I am so glad I took these photos for you. Enjoy!

Olivia and Christian's Communion Session

These two friends celebrated their communion this year and I was flattered to be asked to photograph these special portraits. Since it was a double session and there are lots of photos, I decided to just let them speak for themselves and skip my own commentary. I do try to keep my blogs short, but I love all these photos so I'm breaking my own rule!

These kids were amazing....smiling to the very end! What a great day.
